while i'm waiting,
I'm considering opening a Tumblr for ease of writing/styling. I love my Blogger and want to keep it and everything on it forever, but I just can't resist the endless, simple Tumblr themes that my current "carrier" lacks. Ah. Perhaps there's a way I can split up and redirect my blogs depending on what I'm using them for and when I'm using them? Like a seasonal thing, or annual thing, or stage-of-life (i.e. grade school, college, whatever comes after that) type of organization system? I'll have to look more into it, but as of now I am more than tempted.

i wish
...that you could use Tumblr layouts on Blogger.
In all honesty, I probably spend more time reading Tumblr blogs (via Bloglovin') than I do Blogger ones. They're short and sweet; quick and to the point. And so absolutely aesthetically pleasing. I think that's why everyone likes them.
Including me. But I've had one in the past and eventually got rid of it when I decided that having a Twitter/Tumblr/Blogger/Xanga/whatever was too much...I think that's also when I got rid of all of those except my Blogger, which is pretty permanent seeing it's tied into my Gmail.
But the good thing about having a Blogger is that they're less popular among people my age, and so I doubt many read it. And so I can spend more time actually recording my thoughts rather than pleasing an audience, which is what Xanga turned into. eProps and all.
I also believe the size of my text is too small for people to easily skim unless they really want to read what I'm writing about. But it looks better this way. No harm in being an extra safety precaution though, eh?
Good stuff.
Okay I'm going to sleep...soon. I want to finish the book I've been reading, A Rope and A Prayer, but I am actually pretty sleepy and don't want to screw over my sleep schedule over one snow day. I didn't nap at all today even though we pretty much had the day off :(.
RIGHT. To bed!

aesthetics
How much does "beauty in the eye of the beholder" dominate my life?
I am partial to not leaving the house unless I assemble a well-balanced ensemble. My taste changes sporadically, but the same few elements remain. When I do clean, I proceed like a madman. If my room is not proportionally correct; if what's arranged on my desk is not in some systematic order that fits the confines of my mentally-established regulations, I am not satisfied. I print like a typewriter. All letters must be uniform; if one takes on an italic slant, the rest follow. I must write either in the exact center of the line, or following the bottom (the latter is new, I haven't touched "ground" on a lined piece of paper in years). My bed must be made and symmetric. Lighting apparatus, pristine. Technology, silver or black. Matching. Rounded edges. Slim. Innovative. Pleasing to the eye. Everything, blank and unbranded; if it must be labeled, the font must be agreeable, never Papyrus, preferably sans serif. Dust? Abominable. Fingerprints? Unless placed intentionally, never. My ideal living space is that of the Apple Store. I want simple on the brink of complexity.
Maybe that's why I love the snow. Pure, untouched, nature's unstoppable dusting. The epitome of seamless, the epitome of beauty.
Where I fail, nature is unwaveringly flawless. Where I fail, God is perfect.

aesthetics
Upon receiving my "new" hand-me-down laptop, I've found myself to have become 10x more productive. Possible? Yes. Probable? Definitely.
I'm a firm believer that aesthetics are one of the most influential traits in people, objects, anything...and are often overlooked. A clean room produces a calmer mindset and ability to refocus; clean hair and body after a shower provokes a more peaceful state of being; clean computers (both physically and spatially) coaxes a more professional demeanor and ability to hold one's tasks on a more significant level.
In short, I love MBPs. I don't think I've ever felt so in-synch with myself. Sad? Yeah. But am I kicking butt and giving my 100% on everything I've been doing on this laptop thus far? Most definitely.
Now for a life transformation... :)
